During our short trip, we remembered Ashok’s (as well as our) good friend Retired U.S. Army Col. Banna Ghioto (1917–2019) was a trailblazing World War II nurse who served in the European and Pacific theaters. Stationed in Iceland, England, Germany, and the Philippines, she had a 36-year military career and pioneered public health services in the Glades of Palm Beach County…
