COVID-19 has had a huge impact on our society. There have been many lives lost and the vaccine is the first sign of improvement. However, even with this vaccine there are necessary precautions that need to be taken. Even after being vaccinated, it’s important to continue following safety guidelines. Both this virus and vaccine are new. Scientists are working hard and discovering new things about the vaccine and virus each day. The right measures need to be taken in order to stop this pandemic. Even with that, it will still take time.
It is important to continue wearing a mask. The CDC has stated that a mask is a great way to prevent against the virus. Even while wearing the mask, it is still best to stay 6 feet away from others that you do not live with and to avoid being indoors with them as well. Avoiding crowds is a sure way to protect yourself against COVID-19. Continue to avoid going out unless absolutely necessary. As always, wash your hands often. Even with the vaccine, it is important to wash your hands and avoid touching your face. Bacteria spreads quickly through touch and it is imperative to keep hands clean. The vaccine is still new and there are still many people who have not been vaccinated yet. Having said that, it is of utmost importance to continue to maintain COVID safety guidelines and stay safe.
